About Carmel Stars CARMEL STARS Pre-Primary school at Whitefield is run by the Carmelite Sisters of St.Teresa (CSST) Bangalore. Our Lady of Mount Carmel is its Patron. Since the establishment of St. Teresa’s School Ernakulam, Kerala in 1887, the CSST Institute has upheld the Vision of its Foundress, Servant of God, Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima (1858-1902). Vision Empowering our students to empower Society/humanity especially the socially and economically marginalized, creating a ‘Civilization of Love’. CSST Education envisages a ‘life oriented education’ that empowers the students through Humanizing and Liberative process to be agents of transformation and development at different levels of life. Enabled and empowered, they respond positively to the concerns and conflicts inherent in today’s reality, especially those of women, children and marginalized. They in turn exercise their freedom to be human and work for the integrity of creation. The thrust is in the light of ‘Civilization of Love’ – the Kingdom of God – envisaged by the Foundress, Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima. Carmel Stars stands as a home of learning for the children. It provides an environment for them to make their learning a happy experience through play, games, sports, art, books and interaction. Here they begin their journey of knowledge with an open mind. The Motto of Carmel Stars - Love, Wisdom, Harmony The open book stands for learning. The dancing children signify the joyful atmosphere at Carmel Stars, celebrating life, love and harmony. The shining stars represent children growing in wisdom. The colour blue stands for the vast space of knowledge available for them to explore.
