HAL Public School was established in 1999 as a CBSE school for the benefit of HAL employees, thanks to the vision of Dr. Krishnadas Nair, the then Chairman of HAL, Bangalore. Mrs. Shobha Rajiv led the school with 7 staff members and 67 students. In 2001, the school got its affiliation, thanks to the efforts of Mr. B. Chatterji, Mr. V. M. Chamola and Mr. P.D. Diwakara. HAL Public School has grown rapidly ever since, upgrading to Senior Secondary level in 2008, with Science streams PCMB & PCMC. Today, the school has 950 students and 45 staff members, with classes ranging from LKG to XII.

    "Pleasant environment here.. Apprentices from all disciplines should report on time at 6.45AM so plan your stay accordingly.. The food is also good enough.. Get all the necessary documents.. The verification is strict and takes couple of days.. Wear proper uniform from first day.. You can also carry mobile here (it is not allowed in any other divisions). Great opportunity to make new friends from all over India!"

    "Highly unprofessional and greedy management, especially the Secretary of the educational society managing it. Collects certificates before shortlising candidates and money for the application process too... then cite one or the other reason to keep the money and the certificates. When approached to give undertaking for not utilising credentials, talks all nonsense. Future applicants please be aware of such people who advertise posts to collect money. You never know how they use your certificates and credentials."

    "After reading reviews realized it's only for HAL employees' kids. Sadly we pay huge taxes and they enjoy the benefits. That is the society we live in, divide and rule. And KV schools for only defence employees' kids. Then what is for non-govt employees' kids. Only for paying taxes taxes taxes. There should be a revolution until then :("

    "TTI is just a Documentation office for Diploma and Graduate Apprenticeship Trainees. After 10-15 days you will be allocated to Divisions where you will do your Apprenticeship completely. Food in TTI is bad but in divisions it will be good at low price. You will have a good experience by the end. Timings are 7am to 3pm.. Open : Monday to Saturday Holidays : Sundays and central government holidays PG's are available within 0.5km distance with 6k-8k.. PG located in Jeevan beem Nagar, Murgeshpalya and Marathahalli bridge."

    "Here's the brief conversation I had when I called this school to ask about admission: Other side: Hello Me: Hello Madam, I am calling to enquire about admission in the school Other side: Are you a HAL employee? Me: No Other side: We don't take non-HAL students. Me: OK That was curt. The name says it's a public school and there's no mention of HAL-employees-only in the "About Us" or "Admissions" page. Govt.-exclusive prerogatives at the cost of taxpayers' money got to stop in this country."
