"Many issues are there with this school. The building and facilities are good and the list of co- curricular activities they provide is on point. But the school is not well established whatsoever. The faculty make decisions that negatively impact the students. All information is conveyed rather late and causes confusion. Annual day 2024-25 was chaotic and not thought through well. There are many restrictions on students and communication between students and teachers is not clear or is one sided. Most decisions are made without taking the well being of the students into account. Many teachers are unpredictable and have made many comments that are uncalled for. Overall I have many grievances with the school. But from what I gather most class teachers try their best to teach their students and let them have a good time."

"I visited NPS, J P Nagar on the account of admission for my niece. I must say I was quite impressed by many attributes the school embodied. Firstly, they have a very impressive campus that is of modern construct and very well spaced out. They have all extra curricular activity facilities like Dance, Music, Computers, Robotics and a variety of sports activities. For every activity, they provide separately for the senior and junior classes which I thought was a very good idea considering learning approach is different for different ages. They also have an impressive curriculum that promises your child a good learning curve. The highlight of the entire campus for me was the sports area at the underground which covers from football, basketball to squash and many more. I would highly recommend this school to every one looking for an overall development for their kids."

"And then we disqualify ...Sad It is disheartening to witness the gap between the ideals promoted in NEP 2020 and the reality that unfolds in some schools during the hiring process. While we extensively discuss progressive strategies and innovative approaches, I wonder if these concepts are genuinely embraced in the school environment or if they’re simply used to impress candidates during interviews. Reflecting on my recent experience applying for the role of Head of Curriculum for Early Years and Primary Years, I empathize with the many candidates who may have encountered similar scenarios. The initial rounds of my interview went smoothly; the discussion with HR was seamless, and the Principal’s questions were engaging, allowing me to share insights and experience. However, the third round took an unexpected and disappointing turn. I was instructed to prepare a lesson plan for all levels, from Nursery to Class 5, and to bring teaching aids. The given time was 2:00 pm, which seemed unusual for younger students, so I asked HR if small children would still be present. Receiving no response, I assumed she might have been busy and proceeded as requested. When I arrived at the school, I found an empty room with no students—only a Primary Coordinator was present. She was busy correcting papers. She asked me to “assume there are children and conduct the class.” This casual, almost dismissive approach was unexpected. I even requested her participation, to which she responded that I shouldn’t expect any interaction from her. At that moment, it became clear that there was a significant disconnect between the expectations set for the candidate and the reality of the interview process. Key position like Head of Curriculum, one would anticipate a more thoughtful evaluation—ideally involving Senior curriculum leaders and coordinators to provide a comprehensive assessment. Instead, I was left to demonstrate in an empty room with only the Primary Coordinator observing. It was sad to see a school’s outward portrayal of excellence on social media not aligning with its internal practices. Without real students, essential aspects of a demo lesson—such as classroom management, student engagement, adaptability, and the ability to create an interactive learning environment—could not be meaningfully evaluated. These qualities are crucial for assessing a candidate’s real-world effectiveness, and they cannot be gauged in an empty room. A role as significant as Head of Curriculum requires a thorough and realistic recruitment process that aligns with the standards the school claims to uphold. The purpose of a demo lesson goes far beyond content delivery; it involves assessing how candidates connect with students, manage the dynamics of a classroom, and respond to students’ reactions and questions. Without genuine interaction, the demo becomes a mere formality rather than a meaningful assessment of a candidate’s vision and capability. Is this what is called Interview?"
