Con: Have too many children in a class for primary... About 40 for one teacher, both the teacher and student seem exhausted during pick up"

    "I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the pre-KG admission process conducted at DAV School, Adambakkam, which I experienced recently. I was invited to attend an interaction session with my son as part of the admission process. During the first round, my son was asked to state his name and solve puzzles, which he successfully completed. He was then asked to recite a rhyme, which he managed to do as well. However, during the subsequent round, another teacher asked him to recite or say something again. My son, being a young child, felt shy and did not respond. Instead of understanding or encouraging him, the teacher remarked that he was “not even responding.” I found this approach dismissive and insensitive, especially for children at such a young age who are just beginning to interact with new environments. This experience left me questioning whether the school prioritizes educating all children equally or only seeks out students with extraordinary abilities at such an early stage. Education should focus on nurturing and encouraging children, not labeling or sidelining them based on one brief interaction. I had initially dismissed comments about perceived partiality in the school’s admission process, but this experience has left me deeply disheartened. Schools play a critical role in shaping children’s confidence and development, and such behavior from the staff contradicts the principles of inclusive and equitable education. I request the parents to think twice. Children deserve an environment that encourages their growth and development, not one that discourages or judges them prematurely. One of the worst experience.     "DAV is one of the best schools in this locality. The infra and facilities are really good, hygiene is well maintained. Kids feel much better after moving into this school in terms of the environment n comfort, could see evident improvement in education and discipline. Also they have got good opportunities to train and take part in interschool music n dance competitions and made quality friends. Could see the other extra curricular activities like taekwondo, Bharathanatyam, basketball and Silambam also."
