About the Guest Speaker:

Sunita Pant Bansal is a storyteller and mythologist who has been creating various forms of media for over four decades. She has written many articles, stories, and poems, produced short films, and developed board games. Throughout her illustrious career, Sunita has headed publishing houses, founded and edited newspapers and magazines for readers in India, the US, and the UK, and worked with renowned companies such as Walt Disney, Warner Bros., Pearson Education, The Times of India, Hindustan Times, and ABP Group of newspapers and magazines. Sunita's specialty is interpreting Hindu scriptures to demonstrate their significance and applicability in modern times. She has authored 28 books for adults and young adults that decode the philosophy of mythology and thousands of books for children on folk literature and scriptures, which are sold worldwide in various languages. In her stories, she blends mythology and history with real life, exploring and reinterpreting the timeless characters from the epics and foundational texts. Some of Sunita's recent bestsellers include Krishna the Management Guru and Everyday Gita, both published by Rupa Publications, and Puranas: The Origin of Gods and Goddesses, published by Shree Books. Her latest novel, The Return of Vikram and Betaal, published by Readomania, was launched at the Jaipur Literature Festival in January 2023 by Namita Gokhale.
