About School
Arth is founded on the idea that all children are born competent, capable and eager to learn and that all children can and must experience success in school. When the founders could not find a school they would be comfortable sending their kids to, they started one themselves. We believe that children have a deep need to make sense of this world they grow up in, and hence the name, ‘arth.’ The school has been founded by Ankur, an IIT Kharagpur alumnus with a vision to create preschools where learning is a truly joyful endeavour and where children love to come. He worked as a teacher in a wonderful reggio-inspired progressive pre-school in New Delhi where he was mentored by educators who have taught in progressive schools across USA, UK, Canada, Japan and India. He researched and studied global best practices and curricula across the developed world and came up with a child-centered program for children between 18 months to 5 years of age fit for the Indian context. Thus was born Arth.

"I found the environment exceptionally nurturing, with spacious, nature-inspired surroundings. The team’s friendly and non-judgmental approach allowed us to tailor our curriculum to each child’s individuality, responding to their prompts to ensure meaningful learning experiences. What stood out most was our playful learning style, which not only supported holistic child development but also allowed us educators to reconnect with the joy of childhood. This approach enriched our teaching and created a vibrant, engaging classroom atmosphere. I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to such a positive and supportive team at Arth Early Learning Centre."

"One of my close family member's admission application got rejected because they went to attend this school's open house with their child. They had mentioned in email that parents cannot bring child in open house. The parents family stays out of Kolkata and parents stay in Kolkata in nuclear set up so they had no one whom they could leave the child with to attend the open house. Also the child is just 1 yr old so it was not possible to leave the child with friends and acquaintances. The open house went for around 3 hours and the "preschool" (who claim to understand little kids so well) expected parents with nuclear setup or single parents to leave the child somewhere and attend their open house. I have changed multiple cities and attended lots of preschool- yes all school have their rules but I have not seen this amount of insensitive in any preschool. They are insensitive and just money minded, business minded people. The parents went with their one year old because they couldn't leave the child anywhere. There one parent stayed with the child downstairs while the other attended their open house. So the 1 year old was downstairs and not at all disturbing the open house process but the school rejected applications saying that both parents need to attend openhouse. Yes the school has full right to reject application but atleast give a sane response. One parent attending open house shouldn't be reason to disqualify parents. In that case no single parent or nuclear family parents will get admission in this school unless they leave their child somewhere. Also when one parent was attending the open house, they should had informed the parent then only that both of you need to attend the open house otherwise you will be disqualified. Why did they waste 3 hours of parents. They don't entertain admission outside open house and they conduct open house only once a year so my family members literally had no option but to attend the open house with the kid. Highly insensitive team. I have a preschooler and as a mother i do not recommend this school."

"I've been with Arth Early Learning Spaces as an early childhood educator for a year now, and it's been a nurturing and supportive environment. Planning activities for the children allows me to relive aspects of my own childhood, which I find incredibly fulfilling. The organization's meticulous approach to planning has significantly contributed to my personal growth and ability to handle challenges effectively. I deeply appreciate the opportunities for continuous personal and professional development here, along with the motivational sessions that keep me engaged and committed to Arth. A defining moment for me was choosing to stay when many educators were leaving, recognizing the importance of continuity for both the new staff and the children. Arth's Reggio-inspired philosophy prioritizes a safe and nurturing environment for both children and educators, reflecting my passion for understanding and nurturing young minds. My journey at Arth has been enriching, fostering a supportive community where growth and learning are valued."

"We had a great experience at arth. The school has a very different and modern approach to education. They believe in learning through play, experiment and exploration. Teachers are very experienced, well educated, supportive and full of energy. The school is full of greenery all around. The sensory walk at the entrance is one of the best part of school. Must say an excellent experience we had."

"Disappointed to know that when a parent drops in to see the place they are asked to return as the session admission is over. Fine if I want to get my kid admitted next year? For that you need to come in October? Can we have a look of what we can expect? No. So this is not a preschool. This must be an invitation only exclusive club designed for certain set of individuals. And certainly I don't wish to hear this at 1.30 pm from a person wearing joggers. Feeling insulted! This is a preschool I don't want to be invited to."
